MPCCC’s Precision Oncology Seminar series provides an educational platform in Precision Oncology covering advanced technologies for molecular profiling of tumours, molecular pathology, evidence-based classification systems for mutation actionability, molecular tumour board meetings and treatment options, all aimed at improving outcomes for cancer patients. It also provides an opportunity for engagement with a multidisciplinary audience

Dr Vivek Rathi is the Unit Head of Genetics and Molecular Pathology at Monash Health (commencing March 2020). He was the supervisor of molecular diagnostics at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne for eight years before joining Monash Health.

Dr Rathi’s MPCCC Precision Oncology Seminar will include an overview of the current trends and techniques in molecular diagnostics of solid tumours, the use of sequencing as a diagnostic, predictive and prognostic tool in various types of tumours, and demonstration of the increasing role of cytology in solid tumour sequencing.

A light lunch will be provide at the seminar. When registering your attendance, please indicate whether you will attend in person or Zoom into the seminar.

Please contact MPCCC’s Precision Oncology Program Manager, Ms Vikki Marshal, on vikki.marshall@monash.edu if you have any questions.
