| FreeMolecular pathology – how has it contributed to strengthen the diagnostic skills of a pathologist; Case studies and lessons learnt
The presentation will be based on real life cases and how molecular assays supported the pathologists to provide an accurate diagnosis. The lessons learnt in each of these cases will be discussed. There will also be an overview of what Monash Health Pathology has to offer, the assays currently provided in the laboratory, future education prospects for pathology and medical oncology trainees.
Prof Kumar is a pathologist with over twenty years of extensive clinical, teaching, research and leadership experience in the public health system. She has been part of Monash Health since 2006. Beena’s current role at Monash Health as the Program Director of Pathology involves clinical governance and operational responsibilities of a large pathology department of over 500 employees, responsible for diagnostic testing of all the hospitals under the Monash Health network.
